Our materials are sourced and procured from British manufacturers, recycling surplus and off-cut materials originally intended for sports fields and equipment. This sustainable approach reduces waste while ensuring exceptional durability, perfect for the toughest British weather. Final assembly takes place in China and other overseas territories, where we partner with artisanal workshops and smaller manufacturers. We have conducted thorough due diligence to ensure ethical working conditions, human rights standards, and environmental responsibility.

Yes, sustainability is at the heart of what we do. Our materials are sustainably sourced from British manufacturers, using recycled off-cuts and surplus industrial materials. This reduces waste while delivering products that are both environmentally friendly and built to last. Our overseas production partners are carefully vetted to uphold high standards of worker welfare and environmental responsibility.

Shipping costs will vary based on your location and the size of your order. UK standard delivery starts at £4.99, with free shipping on orders over £50. International shipping rates will be calculated at checkout. Full details will be available on our Shipping & Delivery page.

We partner with trusted courier services, including Royal Mail and DPD, for fast and reliable delivery within the UK. For international orders, we work with DHL and other reputable global carriers.

Bear & Lion is owned and managed by Becca Wells, a Californian who fell in love with the UK and made it her home. 

Becca's vision for Bear & Lion is to create timeless and sustainable handbags that blend classic British style with a touch of edge. Based in the UK, she works closely with artisans and manufacturers to ensure each product meets her exacting standards.

All of our orders are presented with care, and could in fact be shared as a gift as is. We don't include receipts, these will be emailed to you, so that if your item is a gift, the magic isn't ruined.

But, if you would like a little something extra then,  yes, we offer a premium gift-wrapping services to make your purchases even more special. You can add this option at checkout for a small additional fee. Perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or just because.

You can always include a free short gift message that you can write just before you confirm your order.

We want you to love your Bear & Lion products. If you’re not completely satisfied, you can return items within 30 days of purchase for a full refund or exchange, provided they are in their original condition and packaging.
